Airfare - don't fly, it's a waste of money.
Gasoline - ride a bike, it's better for the environment, healthier for you, and saves a ton of cash. Eliminate all but necessary trips.
Cell phone data plan - get rid of it; this one is a huge rip-off. Use the computer if you "need" to look something up.
I love all of these "save money" articles that seem to think things like a $100/month cell phone data plan are necessary expenditures. Keeping up with the Jones' is the number one reason most people can't balance a checking account.
